Who Qualifies for the Program
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is for households that meet specific eligibility rules. You may qualify based on income or if you participate in programs like SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, Federal Public Housing Assistance, or Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefits. Proof of eligibility is required at enrollment. Each household is allowed only one ACP benefit with a single provider.
Reasonable Use of Service
Our “unlimited” plan covers talk, text, and data but should be used responsibly. govfreephone.com tracks usage to ensure service quality for all users. Excessive activities like continuous video streaming, heavy tethering, or business use may lead to slower speeds, data deprioritization, or account review.
Data Speeds and Network Performance
Your internet performance can be affected by factors such as your device, location, signal strength, and network congestion. Speeds may drop during peak usage times. After using your plan’s high-speed data limit, your connection may slow to 2G or 3G for the remainder of the billing period.
Limited-Time Offers on Devices and Services
From time to time, we provide discounted devices when you enroll in a program. These deals are limited and may expire once stock is gone. ACP guidelines require a one-time co-pay starting at $10.01 for select devices. All promotional items are final sale, sold “as is,” and come with a 90-day limited hardware warranty. Offers cannot be exchanged for cash or credit and are non-transferable.
One Benefit Per Household
ACP and Lifeline benefits are non-transferable. Each qualifying household is limited to a single program benefit. If your eligibility changes or you no longer qualify, your service may be paused unless you switch to a paid plan.
